Isa, Luca and Danique represented the Netherlands at the iF3 European Championships 2026 in Bath. Isa finished 7th in Europe in the Junior Female 19-20 and Luca won the Strength test in the Junior Male 17-18.

The iF3 Juniors, Masters and Teams European Championships took place from 20 to 23 August 2026 on the campus of the University of Bath, in the United Kingdom. Almost 500 athletes from more than twenty countries competed. Athletes can only take part through their national federation, and coach Michel was there as National Coach of Team NL.

Just like the Dutch Championships, the European Championships consisted of six tests: Endurance (7.5 km run), Strength (heaviest complex of 1 clean and 1 hang clean), Bodyweight (toes to bar, box jump overs and 50 bar muscle-ups), Skill (handstand walks, crossovers and dumbbell complexes), Mixed (15-12-9 thrusters and line-facing burpees with rope climbs) and Power (500 metre row).

Isa competed in the Junior Female 19-20 category among 14 of the strongest junior athletes on the continent. The final result: a strong 7th place with 405 points. Her strength stood out right away: she was 4th on Strength with 85 kg on the clean/hang clean complex, and on Power she rowed the 500 metres in 1:42, good for 5th place. That is exactly where all the hard work of the past months comes together. This competition also shows where the next step lies: endurance will be the focus of her training, and that is what we are building together now. This is only the beginning.

Luca competed in the Junior Male 17-18 and won the Strength test with a 137.5 kg complex: the heaviest lift of his entire division, two months after his Dutch title.

Danique competed in the Masters 30-34 among twenty athletes from all over Europe and set her best score on Power, with a 5th place on the 500 metre row in 1:35.

Congratulations to Isa, Luca and Danique on competing at the European Championships. We are proud that they wore the Dutch colours there.
