Michel Bakker

I'm Michel Bakker, a dedicated coach and co-owner of YourProgram and CrossFit Capelle aan den IJssel. My passion for fitness and sport started young — I began competitive judo at age four, eventually reaching the Dutch national top level and becoming Dutch stunt-skating champion. That experience gave me deep insight into what it takes to reach the top in sport and fitness. After years of competitive judo and later strength training (bodybuilding), I started CrossFit myself in 2013. I've completed every CrossFit certification available and keep expanding my knowledge through ongoing education. As a former competitive athlete and CrossFit athlete myself, I understand the dedication and determination needed to reach your fitness goals. I'm also the proud host of the podcast "Burpees aan den IJssel," where I share my expertise and insights based on competitions we follow. With over 10,000 hours of coaching experience, I've proven I understand what athletes need to reach their full potential. My ultimate goal is to get the most out of every CrossFit athlete, using tools like programming, periodization, nutrition, and attention to individual body types, among others. I work with both top-level athletes and those aiming to reach the top. Together we'll work toward your fitness goals and a strong, healthy lifestyle. Let's get to work optimizing your CrossFit journey!

Stefan Vissenberg

As a coach at YourProgram, I love working with anyone looking to make progress in CrossFit, at any level.

With my experience in sport at all levels, both as coach and athlete, I'm good at assessing what someone needs to achieve what they're aiming for.

In my approach, I like to look at the whole person. In my view, optimal progress — physically and mentally — is only possible when everything is in balance. Is that always achievable? Not necessarily. But I enjoy figuring out together how we can still make the most of it.

Rieke Wijnhard

I'm Rieke, a coach at YourProgram. I discovered CrossFit around 2017/2018 and was hooked right away. What started as taking as many classes as possible quickly grew into more individual, structured training, driven by a desire to keep improving. At first I steered clear of competitions — I felt I "wasn't good enough yet."

About eight years on, I've built up extensive CrossFit and competition experience — from my very first competition at The Nationals (straight into the Platinum category) to several competitions at Elite level, including Lowlands Individual Elite, Mixed M/F Elite, and Amsterdam Throwdown Teams of 4 Elite. CrossFit competitions continue to challenge and motivate me, and they teach me a lot — not just as an athlete, but as a coach and as a person.

Alongside my passion for the sport, I've spent recent years developing further in my role as a (sports) coach. Over twelve years ago I graduated as a psychiatric nurse. That background gave me deep insight into human behavior, mental processes, and the importance of a personal approach — everyone is unique and walks their own path, which plays a big role in sport and CrossFit.

To deepen my coaching further, I successfully completed the Personal Trainer program at Milo Performance & Education. I now have extensive coaching experience, both online and in person. I find real satisfaction in guiding people toward sustainable progress, where physical development isn't the only focus — mental resilience and self-confidence matter just as much.

YourProgram's vision aligns seamlessly with my view of responsible, personal, long-term development. Together we work on growth that goes beyond just performance, aiming to become the fittest, strongest, most resilient version of yourself.

I'd love to help you (further) with that.
