Sixteen of our athletes have qualified through the online qualifier for the final of the Amsterdam Throwdown 2026, on 5 and 6 December in the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam-Noord.
The Amsterdam Throwdown is one of the biggest CrossFit competitions in the Netherlands. The qualifier ran from 15 June to 5 July: three weeks of online workouts in your own box, with score and video. This year the final takes place in the Kromhouthal, the former shipyard and engine factory on the IJ that has been converted into an event venue.
They each train in their own box, but in December we go to Amsterdam as a team. Coaches present, warming up together, everyone on the sidelines for each other.
These are our finalists:
Female Alpha: Tessa and Thirza. Alpha is the toughest division on the floor and they compete in it individually.
Male Alpha: Jelle and Toby.
Male Bravo: Robin.
Female Bravo: Danique and Ramona. Individually, no team to fall back on.
Masters 35+: Bart, Nona and Maria, individually.
M/F buddy, Alpha: Marissa and Naomi. One man, one woman, one score.
F/F buddy, Alpha: Anna and Esmay. Two women, one score, in the toughest team division of the weekend.
F/F buddy, Bravo: Caya.
M/M buddy, Bravo: Thomas.
Teams of 4, Alpha: Barney competes with Team Weijver, together with Tom, Anna and Liv, in the highest team division.
